'Star-rated’ research tracking tool

City Index Advisory, the advisory wing of spread betting firm
City Index, today announces the launch of APOLLO – a unique
valuation model using ICAP’s superior proprietary research
indicators.
APOLLO is a wholly automated equity research platform evolved
and adapted for CFD and spread trading clients. It has been
developed as a joint venture initiative between ICAP Securities,
part of the world’s largest financial broking operation, and City
Index Advisory, the full service CFD and Spreadbet
specialist.
Exclusive to clients of City Index Advisory, APOLLO includes a
convenient heatmap to visually display the relative daily
performance of each company using a ‘traffic light’ system to
highlight over 300 listed trades – long or short – on a daily
basis.
In addition to the heatmap there is also a star-rating system
covering up to thirty companies including a handful of the highest
rated - five star stocks per day. One of the
current five star ratings is Astrazeneca with the stock trading at
a discount of 11% to Apollo’s fair value measure. In contrast
Rentokil Initial was last week’s five star buy though it has now
dropped off the list after realising a 6% gain.
The APOLLO universe includes the
largest 350 UK companies by capitalisation and the company plans to
expand this selection to include overseas stocks later this
year.
The investor can identify trading opportunities and place a
CFD trade without leaving the web environment. Investors can
also place spread bets over the phone with the experienced dealers
at City Index Advisory.
Richard Cunningham, Managing Director of City Index
Advisory, said:
“APOLLO is designed to allow our clients to screen our
universe of companies for the latest ratings and recommendations in
addition to using a combination of proprietary technical indicators
and measurements when making trading choices.
“For the first time retail investors have been granted
access to the full package of ICAP’s company research which will
enable them to make educated decisions on long or short
trades.”
